Football:St Clement make move up U16 table

ST CLEMENT were the only movers in the Under-16 Division on Sunday morning following a 3-2 home win against St Ouen.
The hosts exchanged fifth place with St Brelade after the latter were defeated by the odd-goal in three at home to St Paul’s.
Scott Johnson, Curtis Guthrie and Jake Hudson scored for St Clement and Sam Cartwright and Alex Fitz for St Ouen.
Harrison Jukes and George Houzé were on the mark for St Paul’s and Matt Leatt for St Brelade.
Leaders Trinity retained their 100 per cent record after two goals from Sam Dootson and singles by Reuben Pestana and Thomas Poignand helped them to a 4-1 win at Le Boulivot against Grouville.
Tom O’Toole replied.
St Peter and Rozel Rovers shared two goals at St Peter where Dylan Revie netted for the hosts and Luke Trotter for the visitors.
Five players scored hat-tricks as second-placed Jersey Wanderers thrashed bottom-team St John 18-1 at the Hockey Club.
Seb Nicolle hit St John’s consolation as Jack Barlow, Daniel Tardivel, Charlie Payne, Bradley Rimeur and Tim De La Haye hit trebles and Ryan Connan and Johnny Hickling singles together with an own goal.
First Tower moved three points clear at the top of under-14 Division I after winning a hard-fought top-of-the-table match 5-1 at La Hague Manor against previously undefeated Jersey Wanderers A.
Tower took the lead midway through the first half with a goal from man-of-the-match Marco Zocchi and they doubled their advantage through Sam Crabtree before half time.
Midway through the second period Tower were out of sight at 4-0, their third a 25 yard shot into the top left-hand corner by John Tardivel and a second for Zocchi.
Wanderers pulled a goal back through Tom Hooper before Crabtree notched his second and Tower’s fifth.
St John stay third after they beat St Paul’s 3-2 at St John after a brace of goals from Hugo Powell and one by Richard Streets.
St Paul’s registered through Zeljko Martinovic and Daniel Tostevin.
Asha Moyse scored four times as St Clement A scored ten goals without reply against St Peter A at the FB Fields.
Scott Laverty also scored twice and Alex Thompson, Ross Crenan, Michael Rodrigues and Joe Le Boutillier once each.
Grouville returned 4-2 winners from Le Couvent against Rozel Rovers after two goals from Steve Buchan and singles from Bruno De Silva and Calvin Miley.
Tom Marcy and Darren Du Feu replied.
Jamie Burrows hit a hat-trick for Division II leaders St Paul’s B in their 6-1 win against Jersey Wanderers B at the Hockey Club.
Harrison Crick, Jack Hinton and Ben Etienne also scored for the winners and Clayton Callaghan for the losers.
St Ouen remain second after they rattled in eleven goals against St Peter B at St Peter without reply.
Jordan Shorey hit four and Chris Ferey two while there was one apiece for Tom Anderson, Chris Hanson, Richard Guillaume, Sam Bisson and Callum Booth.
Alex Pchego, Dylan Rawlinson and Aysa Waugh were on target in St Clement B’s 4-3 defeat by Beeches Old Boys at the FB Fields.
