Where is my girl staying?
Thursday 25th October 2007, 12:00AM BST.
THE mother of a runaway 16-year-old girl says she has no idea where her daughter is staying – and that the girl’s school is refusing to tell her.
Mrs X, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the girl, says she last saw her daughter on Saturday when she came home at 4 am. After an argument the girl left home and is believed to be staying with friends. Mrs X has contacted the police, the Child Protection Service and the girl’s school for help – but says she has been told there is little they can do. ‘I called the police straight away on Saturday but they didn’t come round until Monday. They said there is nothing they can do unless she commits a crime.’
