The vulnerable ‘need flu jabs’

ISLANDERS aged over 65 as well as vulnerable children and adults should be vaccinated against flu, doctors said yesterday following the launch of this year’s flu immunisation campaign.

Jabs are available from GPs and cost around £10. Dr Mark Jones, the community consultant pediatrician at the Hospital, explained that flu could be an unpleasant experience for anyone, but that it could become a serious health concern for the elderly as well as children or adults with other complicating conditions.
