Island prepares the way for more e-commerce

JERSEY is gearing itself up to be the place where the eBays and Facebooks of 2020 will be based.
Economic Development Minister Philip Ozouf has hosted a meeting with leading local and international organisations in the field of e-commerce and intellectual property. The idea was to find out what the Island needs to do to be attractive to major companies trading online. ‘The meeting was highly successful and is the start of a legislative reform process that can help create a framework that will make Jersey a place major players in e-commerce and intellectual property will want to locate,’ Senator Ozouf said.
