Back pain in the office ‘is getting worse’

IT is an employer’s responsibility to look after the health and welfare of their workers, which means that they must make annual work station checks, says chiropractor Grant Henderson.

Last week was European Health and Safety Week and Mr Henderson was asked to give a talk by the Jersey Occupational Safety and Health Association.

Around 50 people attended The Back Pain Epidemic talk, which aimed to make employers more aware about back pain in the office and how it can be prevented.

The event was held at the Hampshire Hotel on Thursday.
