Housing to evict families over rent

TWO families in States housing are facing eviction for running up heavy rent arrears.
The Housing department say that they have no choice but to evict the tenants, who they say have made no effort to sort out the rent they owe. One of the families is believed to include children. The department say that eviction remains a last resort for problem tenants. They have begun proceedings against nine out of 4,500 tenants this year.
