OVs clinch title

RATHBONES Old Victorian’s won the NatWest Evening League Division I title last night following a 34-run win against JCA Seniors who have finished joint runners-up with JJCA I, who defeated Farmers by 65 runs.
The top of the table match was a good game to end the season, OVs batted first to score 146 for five in their allotted 12 overs with Bradley Vowden and Bobby Minty scoring 30 runs apiece while Jonny Gough scored 28 and Andy Dewhurst 24.
Chris Searson took three wickets for 31 runs in his three overs while Dave Gorman top-scored with an undefeated 59 as the Seniors replied with 115 for 5.
Vowden capped a good night’s work taking two wickets for 15 runs in his three overs.
Sam de la Haye led JJCA I to their victory against Farmers with an unbeaten 71 including several straight sixes. Mark Chipperfield supported with an undefeated 27 runs.
Farmers were all out for 93 with Charles and Jimmy Perchard scoring 30 and 18 respectively.
