Two-week wait for Battle cash decision

FLOAT builders could have to wait a fortnight before hearing whether they will get extra funding for this year’s Battle of Flowers.

At a crisis meeting on Monday night, representatives from all 31 organisations wanting to enter this year’s parade agreed that unless they are all allowed to enter and receive the same grants as last year, they will pull out.

Economic Development Minister

Senator Ozouf intends to meet Battle representatives to discuss the matter, but said it was unlikely that he would have an answer for a couple of weeks.
