Another hotel to switch to flats

Thursday 6th March 2008, 12:00AM GMT.

A HOTEL at Havre des Pas could be converted into flats.

Developers want to create 40 flats on the site of the Fort d’Auvergne Hotel, which has been run by the Morvan Group for nearly 30 years.

It will be the second Havre des Pas hotel to be the subject of a planning application in 2008. There are already proposals to turn the next-door Carlton Hotel into 29 flats.

Seamus Morvan, managing director of the group, said that the redevelopment of the hotel had been ‘on the cards for some time’.
