Petulla impresses Leeds again with appearance in U15s’ draw
Thursday 6th March 2008, 12:00AM GMT.
FIRST Tower United junior footballer Charlie Petulla is to continue his association with Leeds United after spending a further four days at the club over half-term.
The 13-year-old De La Salle College student, a utility player, was on his second visit to the Coca-Cola League One club this season and as well as training with Academy coaches he featured in the under-15 side’s 2-2 draw against Leicester City.
Jersey-based Leeds scout Charlie Daze said: ‘All the coaches young Charlie worked with throughout his stay were full of praise for him. He did very well in the game too, when you consider he is only 13 years old.
‘Leeds have given him a programme to work on and they will look to get him back as often as possible. However, he will not be going at Easter because six Leeds United coaches will be attending the St Ouen/Leeds Academy in
Jersey on 21 and 22 March.’
