Top float builders may be out of Battle

A REGULAR Battle of Flowers winner may be forced to pull out of this year’s parade, regardless of the event’s financial difficulties.
St Clement, who have won the Prix d’Honneur seven times in the past ten years, including the past two years, currently have no designer and no venue to build their entry.
And unless they can find both soon, the parish will have no option but to not take part.
Marcus Davies, who has designed St Clement’s float since 1990, has other commitments in the UK, where he is currently based.
