Driver avoids serious injury as tree hits car
Tuesday 11th March 2008, 12:00AM GMT.
A WOMAN had a lucky escape yesterday when her car was hit by a falling tree in Trinity.
She was driving along Rue du Brabant at 2 pm when the tree came crashing down on the bonnet.
One of the branches smashed through the windscreen, trapping her in the silver BMW X5.
Tradesmen working nearby were first on the scene and cut away branches to clear a path so that the emergency services could get to the woman.
