More funding needed to keep Headway open

A CHARITY which helps nearly 100 brain injury sufferers may have to close its doors if it does not get more funding.

Headway Jersey needs over £176,000 to run the service each year but it is nowhere near raising this sort of money.

Headway manager Judy Ridley is very worried that this may force it to make cut backs or even close the service.

‘I feel that we have a lot more to raise this year than last year,’ said Mrs Ridley.

‘The club has got so big that we have had to employ more activity co-ordinators so our budget has gone up 30 per cent on last year and we are getting very anxious because I cannot see big lumps of money coming in. So we are going to have to draw on what little reserves we have got.
