Shock for tenant (86) who may lose her home

AN 86-YEAR-OLD tenant discovered that she may lose her home when officials knocked on her door to discuss a planning application.
The pensioner was shocked to learn that plans had been submitted to renovate the property she was renting and the first she knew about it was when a group of planning officers turned up for a site visit.
Plans to refurbish four flats at The Yews, Grande Route de St Pierre, St Peter, were approved by the planning applications panel last week, meaning that the potential buyer can go ahead with his development plans.
But St Peter Deputy Collin Egre told consultants that although it was not a planning issue, he found it disgusting that the four tenants living there did not know about any plans to develop.
