Cloudy day in prospect for Aintree?
Friday 4th April 2008, 12:00AM BST.
THREE horses owned by Jersey resident Trevor Hemmings are expected to be in the line-up of 40 starters in the Grand National at Aintree tomorrow.
It is the second year in succession that Mr Hemmings has had three runners in the big race, and all are in with a chance, especially pre-race favourite Cloudy Lane. His other runners are Idle Talk and 2005 winner Hedgehunter.
Eight-year-old Cloudy Lane has the shortest odds for a favourite in years and was 5-1 in pre-race betting – a very low price for a runner in the big race.
