Cotillard reaches rifle final in South Africa
Saturday 5th April 2008, 12:00AM BST.
CHRIS COTILLARD has qualified for the State Presidents Cup final at the South African Open Shooting Championships in Bloemfontein after shooting a second stage score of 148.14.
This gives him an overall qualifying score of 253.26 from a maximum of 255 with his second round score carrying forward to today’s final, shot at 800m and 900m.
Cotillard also finished eighth in the Col R Bodley Memorial event at 900m with a maximum score of 50.2 – only eight people managing a maximum 50 in tricky long range conditions.
Chris’ father, Michael, is not having the best of times as he remains without his shooting equipment, following a baggage blunder in Heathrow Terminal Five, and to add insult to injury has been classified on the South African results lists as being over-70 while only being 49-years-old.
