THE Jersey Field Squadron will be celebrating the national Territorial Army’s 100th anniversary with a jam-packed weekend later this month.
Islanders will be able to try out activities such as paintballing and abseiling at the unit’s headquarters on Mount Bingham over the weekend of 19 and 20 April.
There will be a host of activities and information available at the Le Quesne TA Centre between 10 am and 3 pm, including vehicle rides, displays, a barbecue and an overview of the history of the Jersey Field Squadron, which spans nearly seven centuries.
Operations officer Captain Richard Beck said: ‘We are really proud and excited to be able to open up our squadron for the activity weekend to make the start of the ‘TA100′ celebrations this year.
