Last chance for TV evaders

TELEVISION licence evaders in Jersey will be caught and penalised this month as a new enforcement campaign gets under way.
The TV Licensing authority will be knocking on the doors of suspect premises during April, with unlicensed viewers risking a large fine and even a prison sentence as well as being forced to buy a licence.
The company caught more than 280 evaders in Jersey last year, and this crackdown seeks to curb licence fee evasion even further.
TV Licensing spokeswoman Elizabeth Jay said: ‘This is the last chance for evaders in Jersey to pay before our crackdown begins.
