Grimes in sixth spot

CHRISTINE GRIMES defeated Cyprus’ Linda Ryan but lost to Fiji’s Litia Tikiosuva today in her latest games at the WBL Women’s Bowls World Cup in Warilla.

Grimes, who lost to Scotland’s Margaret Letham 9-4, 7-6 yesterday, had a promising start in her fifth match against Ryan and won through 10-6, 8-4.

However, her sixth round match went the opposite way as Tikiosuva won 8-6, 11-5. This places Grimes sixth overall in section one with three matches remaining.
