Thursday 17th April 2008, 12:00AM BST.

DALE Campbell made an impressive return to racing by winning the two Adult A classes and the Grand Final in the second motocross event of the season at Sorel Point.

Ryan Gregory, on his new Yamaha 250 cc four-stroke, claimed two second places and one third and Harry Bertram, who pushed Campbell on his return since breaking his hand, twice finished third.

Daniel Moon took the prize for the highest jump down from the finish line to Sorel Corner and Declan Hussey was impressive in the Grand Final with a fourth place.

Josh Connery maintained his unbeaten record with three wins out of three in the 50 cc automatic class. James Kennedy took three second places and Toby Norman, a newcomer to this class, was third.

Connor Hamon returned to winning ways in the 65 cc class with victory in the first two races but was pushed to the chequered flag by championship leader Eliot Jackson, as he took the final win of the day. Jack Galloway was consistent with three third places.

Charley Mills on the Deans Yamaha took maximum points to win the BLF Racing Ltd Trophy of the Day in the small-wheel 85 cc class, with Matthew Rayson second overall and Lee Le Viellez third.

In the big-wheel 85 cc class Kieran Gregory took all three wins in great style, coming from behind in two of the races to secure victory. Toby Luce took second overall by two points and Sam Allix and Matthew Le Brun were equal on points in third.

The racing was close in the schoolboy 125 cc class between Owen Machon and Ricky Knowlton, with Machon just edging the wins as Tom Garnham took third.

The championship leader in the B group, John Dempsey, won the first race but a fall in the second broke his throttle, ending his racing for the day. Sam Bingle made a welcome return and finished first twice and also fourth. Daniel Clarke took second places and Leo Gomes thirds.
