Jersey RFC Youth moved into Hants final

JERSEY RFC Academy U18s are through to the Hampshire U18 Cup final later this month – but they are not happy about the manner of it.

Cup holders Jersey, who won the club’s first and so far only county trophy last April when they beat Gosport and Fareham RFC in style at St Peter, have been desperately trying to agree a semi-final date with the same opponents for the past month or so.

But, after long negotiations failed, county officers have ruled that Jersey must progress into the 27 April final against Petersfield RFC, who beat Alton last night in the other semi-final.
