New attack on timing of GST

A HUGE increase in stamp duty revenue in the past three years is yet more evidence that GST is being rushed in unnecessarily, according to a former president of the Chamber of Commerce.
Kevin Keen says it is time that the Council of Ministers admitted that they should stop spending rather than impose more and more taxes on Islanders.
And he believes that politicians should seriously question whether they are in office to run the public sector efficiently or simply to raise taxation to fund their own profligacy.
