Saints ready for Bels’ best up for Upton test

ST PAUL’S are almost certain to be without first-team goalkeeper Andrew Bird again tomorrow for the Upton Park Trophy match away to Belgraves in Guernsey.
The Muratti stopper continues to recover from a chipped bone in an ankle and although he did a little training last night he remains a major doubt.
‘We’ll leave it to the last minute again,’ said Saints manager Craig Culkin, adding: ‘Dave Alexander is in the squad and if Andy fails to make it Dave will play.
‘He is experienced, he played in our Wheway Cup final win and when he plays he has a presence so we’re all happy.
‘The boys are up for the game and they’re relishing the prospect of playing Bels on their own park.
