Bels toll for St Paul’s

ST PAUL’S hopes of a twelfth Upton Park Trophy success disappeared following an under par performance against Guernsey’s Belgrave Wanderers in Guernsey on Saturday afternoon.
Despite hitting the woodwork twice, the Saints were beaten 2-0 and it was a victory Bels fully deserved for their second Upton success in three years following goals by Dave Rihoy and substitute Paul Ramsden.
Rihoy nodded home a corner kick on a far post in the 45th minute and Ramsden doubled Bels’ advantage in the 61st minute after man-of-the-match Matt Drillott’s shot cannoned back into play off a post.
