Householders get GST guide

A BOOKLET explaining how GST will work will be landing on Islanders’ doorsteps this week.
The ‘Consumer’s Guide to GST’ is being sent to all households explaining GST price marking and how Customs will handle the 3% charges at the ports.
Treasury Minister Terry Le Sueur says that with two weeks to go before the introduction of the controversial tax on 6 May, Islanders need to know what they will be paying.
‘We are trying to help consumers get ready for the start of GST in two weeks time,’ he said.
‘There are going to be changes to prices in the shops. I want to make sure the public know that the prices they see are what they will pay.
