Youth stalwart bows out – at 80
Friday 25th April 2008, 12:00AM BST.
TRIBUTES were paid yesterday to 80-year-old Barbara Frost, who has retired after dedicating the past 18 years to supporting teenagers with problems.
Mrs Frost started as a volunteer at St Mark’s Adolescent Centre in 1990, but soon afterwards became a paid member of staff.
Formerly the manageress of bookmakers’ shops for 30 years, Mrs Frost was given a presentation yesterday at La Chasse Centre from colleagues and friends in the Children’s Service with whom she has worked over the years.
