A note worthy cause
Monday 28th April 2008, 12:00AM BST.
A HOUSE in St Saviour is being converted into the Island’s first ever music academy.
Based at Ch’teau Vermont, the Jersey Music Academy will provide a broad spectrum of music tuition to both children and adults and will host a wide range of residential courses for all of the arts.
The ch’teau has been privately bought and a charitable body has been set up to run the project. Fund-raising to convert the ch’teau will begin this summer, and all money raised through functions and events will be given to the charity to enable the centre to provide scholarships for children.
