Prisoner recaptured
Monday 28th April 2008, 12:00AM BST.
ESCAPED prisoner Darren McCormack was back in custody this morning after three days on the run.
Police officers arrested McCormack (29) at a private residence in St Helier.
They said earlier that they had received several calls from members of the public about possible sightings over the weekend.
A search for McCormack was launched after he failed to return to the prison on Thursday afternoon, having been given bail by the Magistrate’s Court to attend the funeral of a friend.
He was due to appear in the Royal Court on Friday for formal indictment on drugs charges.
The police thanked those members of the public who had come forward with information.
