Protest group to contest election

THE Time 4 Change protest group will put up candidates for this year’s elections.
They want to back candidates who will complete the reforms set out in the 2001 Clothier Report and bring ‘more transparency and democracy’ to the Island.
Speaking at yesterday’s Reform public meeting at the Pomme d’Or Hotel attended by around 60 people Time 4 Change organiser Montford Tadier said that reforms were long overdue.
The electoral system had to be changed to get more people to the polls, and stronger checks and balances needed to be put in place to prevent services breaking down. He cited the historic child abuse investigation as the product of a failed service.
