Pumping iron in the park

MIAMI Beach-style muscle men could soon be pumping iron in the People’s Park.
St Helier parish officials this week gave the go-ahead for a £26,000 ‘Sport Point’ to be installed near the Inner Road roundabout.
Use of the outdoor gym facility, which will include weightlifting and other bodybuilding equipment, will be free and unsupervised.
Parish officials hope that it will be used by fitness-conscious Islanders of all ages and answer the perennial complaint of town teenagers that there is nothing to do.
