JERSEY Rugby Club have appointed a new professional head coach for their senior and Academy players, with former England sevens international Ben Harvey taking charge from tomorrow.
Barry George, Jersey’s first-ever full-time professional coach when appointed last summer, is leaving for his New Zealand home today, having guided Jersey into London I.
THarvey is a former Premiership player and the former coach of Pertemps Bees, a National I club side this season.
Once again Ashburton will be sponsoring the appointment, with Harvey (33) taking over as head coach of both the 1st team and Academy.
‘We wish to thank Barry for his significant contribution and wish him and his family a safe return and every success in the future,’ said Jersey RFC chairman Chris Scott.
