Banahan’s Saxon call

JERSEY’S Matt Banahan has taken another step forwards in his meteoric rugby career, with his selection today for the England Saxons squad.
The Saxons are the senior England B side and with World Cup winner Martin Johnson naming his first senior squads as manager it is great news that Banahan is in his thoughts.
The Saxons, captained by Will Skinner, will travel to Canada and the USA to compete in the Barclays Churchill Cup this summer.
They are in Pool B with Scotland A and the USA. Argentina Pumas, Canada and Ireland A make up the other group.
