A JERSEY recruitment company is attracting Australian employees to the Channel Islands.
Lynda Sims, managing director of 1st Recruitment, said that since the company opened offices in Sydney last year, candidates had been keen to learn about the work opportunities on offer in the Channel Islands.
She said: ‘I went out there myself to start the new company and the Sydney office has a lot of information about Jersey and Guernsey and our meeting rooms all have photographs of the islands and are named after places here.
‘We are helping Channel Island firms fill their own skills gap as we are attracting Australian lawyers, accountants, bankers and fund practitioners to take up work.
