Drug-buster dog

00456892_cropped.jpgA COUPLE have been sent to jail for a total of 13 years after their plot to smuggle cocaine into Jersey was twice foiled by the same drugs dog.

Alan Donohoe and partner Paula Siddall tried to bring almost £10,000 of the drug into the Island after being hired by a UK gang.

But within minutes of them landing at Jersey Airport on separate days last year, their plan was rumbled by the sensitive nose of Customs sniffer dog Forest.

Yesterday the Royal Court sent Donohoe to prison for seven years and sentenced Siddall to six years behind bars.
