Mollin takes early lead over Pushman

ALEX MOLLIN led the race for the Division I JLGA Island Match Play HSBC Championship title when lightning stopped play this morning.
Mollin was 2 up against Elaine Pushman in the final at La Moye after the completion of six holes before the players were called in due to stormy weather.
Mollin and Pushman secured their place in the play off when they both survived tough semi-final tests yesterday to finish 1 up in their matches against Jenny Deeley and Gloria Paradiso respectively.
Liz Shanks had the upper hand over Judy Dove in the Division II final this morning as she was 1 up on the ninth hole. Dove and Shanks won through their semi-finals yesterday with 4 and 2 wins over Cynthia Binet and Lynn Hopfinger respectively.
In Division III Rachel Andrews was 2up over Julia Pascoe after seven holes. Andrews and Pascoe made the final yesterday in finishing 1 up against Mary Marr and Lou Wagstaffe respectively.
