Two join Jersey Finance board

TWO new non-executive directors have been appointed to the board of Jersey Finance.

Hans Baerlocher, managing director of UBS in Jersey, and Julie Coward, managing director of Basel Trust, were elected yesterday at the Jersey Finance annual meeting.

Mr Baerlocher said that banking had been without a representative on the board ‘for too long’.

Mrs Coward, who was not present at the meeting but had prepared a presentation on DVD, is currently president of the Jersey Association of Trust Companies.
