Friday 6th June 2008, 3:00PM BST.
HAUTLIANS won the all-Division I JEP Brighter Cricket Cup second round match against Beeches by six wickets at FB2 last night.
Chasing 126 for victory in their allotted 15 overs, Hautlians reached their target with 2.5 overs to spare.
Despite struggling at 49 for four after some accurate opening bowling from Alex Morgan and Charles Perchard, Nigel Crocker and John Wiseman then put on an unbroken fifth-wicket stand of 77 to win the match.
Crocker and Wiseman both hit four boundaries and one six to finish undefeated on 34 and 36 respectively. Robin Tewkesbury and Danny Blasco top-scored with 51 and 38 respectively in Division I St Ouen’s 50-run win against Division II Rathbones OVs at LQ1.
Mourants found the going tough against Division II HSBC Jersey who dismissed the league newcomers for 30 in 8.2 overs.
