Walkers and St Helier battle to a thrilling tie

ST HELIER RFC and Walkovers featured in an exciting tied match in Division II of the NatWest Evening Cricket League last night.
At FB2, both teams finished on 123 runs after their allotted 14 overs, Walkovers needing to score eleven to win off the last over and three off the final ball when they scrambled home two runs to tie.
Walkovers captain Bradley Vautier said: ‘It was an excellent game; both sides fielded well and there were many good performances with the bat and ball and Andy Bouchard took two very good catches for us too at ‘cow corner’.
‘We were looking good with St Helier on 70 runs after ten overs but then Grant Phillips and Hugo Bishop opened up with Hugo pulling three massive sixes off Kevin English before I managed to catch him out at deep mid-off.
