I AM writing with regard to the latest revelations surrounding yet another deal struck between our illustrious States Members and Harcourt Developments, and the fact that the latter are already involved in a lawsuit in the USA over alleged non-payment of project funding to the tune of 500 million euros (yes, that’s 500 million euros).

I am not really interested in Harcourt, my concern is in the fact that Senator Frank Walker stated categorically that he knew nothing about the lawsuit. To Senator Walker and the bunch of buffoons running this Island I would simply say ‘Google it’. A simple search on Google would have provided Senator Walker with all the information he needed, or have we got to a point where due diligence and compliance are a thing of the past, or something that other people or businesses have to undertake, but ‘Not us Gov’?

These members and officials are supposed to be in government to protect the wealth and wellbeing of this Island and its Islanders, and yet they seem incapable of undertaking the most basic of business practices. You have to know who you are dealing with, and the liabilities they already have.

I would suggest that over the past 12 months, I have come to understand exactly the liabilities Jersey has, and may I suggest that most of them are cabinet ministers. It is time for change and it is time that the taxpayers of Jersey stood up to be counted and voted out every single States Member who voted in favour of GST, the Waterfront, the castle ferry contract, the Jersey Eye, the Weighbridge, etc.

Make no mistake, when all of this blows up in our faces, we the taxpayers will be left to pick up the bill.
