New group looks after freight firms

A GROUP representing the views of Jersey shippers and air freight companies has been set up in the Island.
The Express Logistics Association has four founding members: Huelin Renouf Airfreight, Hi-Speed Freight, Regency Logistics and one other company who want to remain anonymous.
Peter Tabb, who has has been appointed chairman, said that the ELA was formed because the air freight industry felt that they talked better with one voice, rather than a number of voices, particularly when dealing with the authorities.
He added: ‘There is no question of us acting as a trade body. This is purely to look after most of the operators and their customers.
