Fourth arrest in child abuse inquiry

A FORMER children’s home worker this morning became the fourth person to be arrested in connection with the historical child abuse inquiry.
It is understood that the 50-year-old man will be questioned about alleged sexual and physical assaults at Haut de la Garenne and other locations in Jersey.
The police raided his St Martin home at 6.40 am and took him into custody.
They said that his name would not be released unless he was charged.
This morning he was being questioned by detectives.However, it is understood that he was employed by Social Services and is currently a senior manager working elsewhere in the public sector.
