0555315_cropped.jpgHARCOURT Developments is a Dublin-based property development company with a number of international award-winning projects under its belt.

The Irish firm was set up in 1996 by founder and chairman Pat Doherty and former Irish television presenter Michael Murphy.

Members of the board include Harcourt director Pat Power and Andrew Parker-Bowles, the ex-husband of the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker-Bowles.

Phil Flynn, a former Sinn Fein leader, resigned from the board after he was questioned by Irish police as part of the money-laundering investigation into the proceeds from the £26.5 million robbery of Northern Bank in Belfast in December 2004. No indication of his personal involvement in this matter was found.

Harcourt operates in many different countries worldwide, including France, the USA, Antigua, Tobago, the Bahamas, Latvia, South Africa, Montenegro and Ireland. In the past 12 years the company has expanded from four to 400 staff worldwide.

Harcourt’ s largest overseas investment is the $800 million Sullivan Square in Las Vegas, which is currently on hold because a lawsuit has been filed against the company.

Its first project, Dublin-based Park West, involved developing 238 acres of land into the largest business park in Ireland.

Another development in Belfast, the award-winning Titanic Quarter – where the Titanic ship was built – involved changing 300 acres of land into more than 5,000 apartments and 180,000 square metres of business, education, office and research and development floor space, together with hotels, restaurants, cafés, bars and other leisure amenities.

At 31 December 2006 the company’s reported gross and net asset values stood at 650 million euros (£500 million) and 154 million euros (£121 million) respectively.
