Paul Le Chevalier opposes Gary McFarlane in the men’s match while Jersey’s new women’s champion Alex Mollin, of La Moye, faces Guernsey’s Jan Chamberlain at Royal Guernsey.

Le Chevalier (39) has been in good form in recent weeks and he is quietly confidence he can keep the silverware in Jersey hands, although it is never an easy task playing away from home.

The Jerseyman won in Guernsey on his last visit to play in the final when he defeated David Rowlinson at the 37th hole in 2004. Three years earlier he won the CI title in Jersey.
