Centurions march on

CENTURIONS B retained their 100 per cent record at the top of NatWest Evening League Division III last night with a 23-run win against Jersey Post at FB2.

Scoring 149 off their allotted 14 overs, Centurions B were all out off the final ball after useful contributions early on from Bipin (26, including four boundaries) and Fazeel (38, including five fours). Sean McDonald took three wickets for 40 runs in his four overs.

Jamie Bara (pictured) again top-scored for Jersey Post, hitting five boundaries on his way to 28 and despite a flurry of double-figures scores late on Jersey Post finished 24 runs short of victory with one wicket remaining.

Aslam took four Jersey Post wickets in three overs for 17 runs while Bipin’s four overs resulted in figures of three for 25.
