Jordan-Higgins smashes record

ISLAND golf starlet Olivia Jordan-Higgins has again lifted the Les Mielles Ladies Open title – and smashed her own course record by four shots.
The 20-year-old Royal Jersey player lifted the Griffiths Memorial Cup yesterday (thur) with a gross 67 score.
The previous record was 71, which was set by Jordan-Higgins last year.
She said: ‘I had a really good game – it was actually really relaxed. I had a straight birdie on the first hole which is always a good thing, then it was just a pretty straightforward round, on the fairway and on the green. I holed some good putts and had some good ups and downs, so I’m pleased with how it went.’
Former Beaulieu student Jordan-Higgins is currently studying at the Charleston Southern University on a golfing scholarship, and hopes to lower her handicap before she returns at the end of the summer.
Les Mielles player Frances Shaw followed Jordan-Higgins in with a gross 75 to take the Randalls Vautier Cup.
