0568107_3_cropped.jpgSTATES Members are gearing up for one of the most controversial debates in the Island’s recent history.

On Tuesday, the States will debate whether to remove the Council of Ministers and the entire Waterfront Enterprise Board as well as a motion to censure Chief Minister Frank Walker (pictured) over events surrounding the debate on the Waterfront held on 5 June.

The States approved the Hopkins Masterplan to redevelop the Esplanade and sink the road to create a new financial district. But controversy struck in the second part of the debate, which was to agree the financial details of the deal.

The existence of a lawsuit against developers Harcourt in Las Vegas was originally denied by Senator Walker and ex-WEB director Jim Perchard, but later emerged to be true, forcing Senator Walker to apologise for misleading the States.

    Do the honorable thing and resign now Frank. No one wants you here.

    How about we hold a proper referendum 3 questions;

    “Should GST be abolished immediately”

    “Should the outrageous Duty be cut by 50% on fuel”

    “Should all States members be removed from office immediately”

    Frank walker was forced to apologise for misleading the states, how many other times has he got away with misleading everyone?
    Do we really need a “new financial district”? I also think the duty on fuel should and could be cut substantialy.Why is this Island known to be greedy?
