REGARDLESS of whether anything is found to be rotten in the state of Harcourt, is this time of credit crunch and soaring fuel prices ideal for Jersey to be embarking on building a financial centre?
And having built it, will it drain all the life out of our town? Would it not be better to polish up our green credentials and have an area of parkland for Islanders and visitors to enjoy?
I know money is important, but do we have to turn it into our God?
