What a pity people didn’t take litter home

I ATTENDED the Junior Football Tournament last weekend. It was good to see so many families enjoying the fun on such a lovely day.
What spoilt it for me was the mess left behind each evening. While I concede that there were insufficient dustbins for all the picnic rubbish, there is no excuse for walking away and leaving all your personal litter behind.
What an appalling example to all our young people who took part.
