The real cost of the roadworks at Bel Royal

THE unnecessary work at Bel Royal has not only cost real, hard cash, but what about everyone who has been stuck in the traffic day-in, day-out, for nearly three months?

These constant, unacceptable road delays cause significant airborne pollution, waste time and money for everyone stuck, and massively reduce productivity to boot.

I, for one, am going to send an invoice to the States for my time – three months at one hour per month plus petrol. A tidy sum. Multiplied by several thousand people this project can cost many millions more than just the capital cost.
Heads must roll for this waste.

I would recommend anyone affected to send the department an invoice also. Show them the real cost of these ridiculous and constant roadworks.
