TONIGHT’S JEP ‘Brighter’ Cricket KO Cup final at Grainville promises to be an exciting affair with some big hitters on both sides in form.
Whether it will be explosive remains to be seen but there is every prospect that it might as Robin Tewkesbury, Mark Tribe and Paul Horton have all been scoring well for Division I St Ouen and Dean Morrison, Hugo Bishop and Grant Phillips likewise for cup-holders St Helier RFC, who are currently top of Division II in the NatWest Evening League.
St Ouen captain Mark Tribe said: ‘We’re looking forward to the game and we know we have to hold St Helier back because they have some very good batsmen.
‘We have a team with a good blend of youth and experience and I’m looking forward to seeing our youngsters bowling again because they have all done well this season. We have experienced bowlers too like Barry Middleton, Karl Moyse and Paul Horton so I’m sure it is going to be an interesting game.’
